Mandated employees that violate drug and alcohol regulations set-forth by the Department of Transportation shall be evaluated by a Substance Abuse Professional who shall determine what assistance, education, or treatment the employee needs in resolving problems associated with alcohol or substance use, misuse, or dependency.

Assessments are performed by a substance abuse professional who is defined by federal regulations as a licensed physician or a certified psychologist, social worker, employee assistance professional or addiction counselor with knowledge of and clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of alcohol and controlled substance disorders.

Absolute Drug Detection Services, (ADDS) Inc. offers Board Certified Addiction Counselor Services to perform Department of Transportation SAP assessments. ADDS, Inc. also utilizes a nationwide database of Addiction Treatment Professionals for clients outside of our local service area.
